Tonight after dinner, I wandered around Pickerel Lake Park. The park, also know as the Pickerel Lake Nature Preserve or the Fred Meijer Nature Preserve, is located in central Kent County just past Townsend Park (another Kent County Park) on Ramsdell Drive. This picturesque park provides ample viewing of birds and wildlife from the […]
Tonight we journeyed to Holland MI, for the Ottawa County Fair’s Off Road Demo Derby run by Unique Motor Sports. Everyone seemed to have a good time and an excellent view from our vantage point in the pits. Thank you Todd and Kathleen for the passes.
On an evening of beautiful weather (July 22, 2013), we decided to visit Downtown Rockford Michigan. This quaint little town has an absolutely beautiful riverfront with several parks and walking paths to enjoy.
Though the weather and lighting were not the greatest, here are some sample shots using my new Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Lens. It’s amazing how photogenic random toys and plants can be when you are randomly shooting things in your backyard.
The Fifth of July brought a trip to the Holland State Park for a few pictures. The Vedders Family dinned on burgers from the new Five Guys Burgers and Fries in Holland and played at Huizenga Park in Zeeland. All-in-all a good day.
